For his new performance, ´Slowfall´, the intriguing artist draws on elements of eastern spiritual disembodying techniques. Based on the intersection with magic, Spangberg narrates a story using a multitude of objects. For the audience, the images and actions form a kind of storyboard that stimulates one’s own imaginative power.
As the first part of a larger project, ´Untitled´ ´Slowfall´ develops the relationships between chakras, tantric energy and dance. In both senses of the word an internal journey stimulated by forceful paintings which tell a vague story and activate the perception. A choreography that neither exists nor insists: it simply ´sists´.
